The famous Charles Dickens often enjoyed dinner at Delmonico’s.   Mark Twain celebrated his 70th birthday celebration in Delmonico’s private dining room   (photo above).

And, Harry K. Thaw, the wealthy man-about town and accused murderer of the famed architect Stanford White, was a big fan of Delmonico’s.  The one catch?
